Team,
did u sail Saturday! we did but not Wits yep we went to the bay....
and having spoke to a few people it seemed that every one sailed some were else or took a chance waiting at the bay.
very onshore made it out to the bench which took a while had a few waves but wind up and down.
Jolliffe was very good head high plus and good 5 o weather bummer hay, and only three or four windsurfers out, it did look good when I
got home at 7pm having sailed for four hours and Supped for two no energy left boo hoo..
but the ingredients was there for a classic day just did not happen next time for sure
all the best

Saturday was a strange day. Because of the swell having a little more south in it than usual it was actually pretty big swell for south coast summer time. so in that respect it was pretty good.
I got out locally at Hengistbury head. Some waves were coming through logo high but mostly head high. Breaking off the reef it was actually pretty awesome because the waves had quite a fat shape. I've never had that reef down the line before. It was special. But the bummer for me was, I had to go out on a freestyle board (wave freestyle)! It was just too light to be out there otherwise. So it was epic but more in a soul way. Of course, I don't have a car at the moment, which is why I didn't consider going further afield...
But the other boys who you may have seen out at Kbay said that the hours from about 1700-1900hrs was actually pretty sick (jack, paul and Jamie) Down the line off the bench? I could kind of see it happening but the tide was pretty high. They reckon they were getting regular logo to sometimes bigger off the bench and egg shell glass 5.3m weather. I guess this was obviously after the wind swung round.
I reckon you made the right choice going. Get a sail and a SUP. Get some bigger waves than elsewhere. Pretty nice really.
