Gott Bay is the easiest most accesible place to windsurf on Tiree, it is a huge sandy bay with a large sailing area. It is generally flat but can get some very small breakers for a bit of fun. depending on the wind directions, choose your launching spot.
Features
All conditions can be catered for or had here, which is why it is a very popular windsurfing spot for families. Add to that the good parking and the close proximity of the Tiree Lodge hotel and you are on for a winner.
Considerations
Very safe place to windsurf, and especially good if it going off elsewhere, which it often is! If you do sail too far out, you might find yourself in the way of the Tiree ferry.
Directions to Gott Bay
Get off the Ferry, turn right, drive a bit, turn right again and you can't miss it. If you do, you are a fool och aye!
